Job Description:
Junior Software Developer (C# / WPF / SQL) – Remote Flexibility
Are you a junior developer ready to make a real-world impact with your code? We're working with an innovative, fast-growing organisation in the healthcare and fertility space that's looking for a Junior Software Developer to join their collaborative IT team.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a meaningful, purpose-driven industry—supporting technologies that help individuals and families grow. If you have a passion for the fertility sector (or prior experience within it), this role offers the chance to combine technical development with impactful work.
The Role
You'll play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing core business applications used across multiple locations. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll contribute to a production-critical codebase and gain exposure to a wide variety of projects.
This role suits someone who can take ownership of tasks, work semi-independently, and enjoys problem-solving in a real-world, data-driven environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining features within existing C# WPF applications
- Writing and optimising Microsoft SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and views
- Working with Entity Framework for data access and application logic
- Troubleshooting issues across UI, application, and database layers
- Supporting new feature development and internal tool enhancements
- Assisting with API integrations and data workflows
- Supporting reporting functionality, including DevExpress reports
- Contributing to research, implementation, and deployment of new IT solutions
What We're Looking For
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (writing queries from scratch)
- Experience with C# development (commercial or project-based)
- Familiarity with ORM tools such as Entity Framework
- Ability to understand and work within an existing codebase
- Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive data
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
- Interest in or experience within the fertility or healthcare industry (highly desirable)
What's On Offer
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Flexible remote working options
- Competitive benefits package including:
- Medical, dental & vision insurance
- Paid time off and holidays
- Retirement plan (401k equivalent)
Why Apply?
You'll be joining a growing organisation operating internationally, with the chance to work on impactful systems that directly support people on their journey to parenthood. It's a rare opportunity to build your technical career while contributing to something genuinely meaningful.
